Updated: September 9, 2026 BetterToken now provides limited test access to DeepSeek V4.1 Flash through the exact Model ID deepseek-v4.1-flash-expires-on-0910. This temporary entry is scheduled to expire on September 10, 2026. Use it to evaluate the model, not as a permanent production configuration. Check current access and pricing in the model plaza before sending a request.
The temporary Model ID includes its expiration date. It may stop working after September 10, 2026, and it is not automatically replaced by a future stable ID. Keep a stable fallback model ready.

Quick start

  1. Create a BetterToken API Key or open Setup for an existing key.
  2. Confirm that deepseek-v4.1-flash-expires-on-0910 is still available in the model plaza.
  3. Select the DeepSeek provider.
  4. Set the Base URL for your protocol using the table above, and enter the complete Model ID.
  5. Send a small request before running a longer evaluation.

Prepare for expiration

Before September 10, 2026:
  1. Find every configuration that contains deepseek-v4.1-flash-expires-on-0910.
  2. Save the evaluation results you need.
  3. Replace the temporary ID with deepseek-v4-flash-0731 or another currently available Model ID.
  4. Run a smoke test after the change.
  5. Check the model plaza for any new stable V4.1 entry. Do not guess its Model ID.

Can I use this Model ID in production?

You can send requests while the entry is available, but you should not make it the only model in a long-lived production configuration. Its scheduled expiration can cause requests to fail after the test ends.

Can I use it with Claude Code or the Anthropic Messages API?

Yes. For Claude Code or Anthropic Messages, use Base URL https://bettertoken.ai and Model ID deepseek-v4.1-flash-expires-on-0910. Direct Messages requests use POST /v1/messages with your BetterToken API Key in x-api-key.
