Release date: April 16, 2026 BetterToken has updated the Claude Opus 4.7 model entry. Check the model plaza for the currently available model ID, then configure it through the Claude Code or external-tool setup guide that matches your client. Anthropic officially introduced Claude Opus 4.7 on April 16, 2026 and made it generally available. Anthropic describes Opus 4.7 as an improvement over Opus 4.6 in advanced software engineering, complex long-running tasks, vision, and professional knowledge work.

  • Stronger software engineering: Anthropic says Opus 4.7 improves on the hardest advanced software engineering tasks and is better suited for work that previously required closer supervision
  • More consistent long tasks: The model is described as more rigorous and consistent on complex, long-running work, with stronger self-checking before reporting back
  • Better vision: Opus 4.7 supports higher-resolution image input, which helps with dense screenshots, complex diagrams, and detail-heavy visual material
  • Updated safety controls: Anthropic launched Opus 4.7 after Project Glasswing and deployed safeguards that detect and block prohibited or high-risk cybersecurity requests
  • Same price as Opus 4.6: Anthropic lists pricing at 5permillioninputtokensand5 per million input tokens and 25 per million output tokens
