release date: 1 जुलाई 2026 BetterToken ने Claude Sonnet 5 model entry अपडेट किया है। current available model ID और live pricing के लिए model plaza जांचें, फिर अपने client से मेल खाती Claude Code या external-tool setup guide से कॉन्फ़िगर करें। Claude Sonnet 5, Sonnet family की अगली generation है। Anthropic इसे Claude Sonnet 4.6 से upgrade के रूप में रखता है, जिसमें सबसे बड़े improvements coding, agentic tasks और professional work में हैं।

मुख्य विशेषताएं

  • coding और agent work के लिए बेहतर: Anthropic के अनुसार Sonnet 5 की Sonnet 4.6 से सबसे बड़ी gains coding और agentic tasks में हैं
  • बड़ा context window: Sonnet 5 default रूप से 1M tokens context window और 128K tokens तक output support करता है
  • adaptive thinking default रूप से on है: thinking field के बिना requests adaptive thinking के साथ चलती हैं
  • कम migration effort: Sonnet 4.6 पहले से उपयोग हो तो अधिकांश requests में model ID को claude-sonnet-5 करने से move हो सकता है
  • स्पष्ट safety behavior: high-risk cybersecurity content के लिए model HTTP error के बजाय stop_reason: "refusal" के साथ refusal लौटा सकता है

Migration notes

Sonnet 4.6 से Sonnet 5 पर move कर रहे हों तो पहले इन settings को review करें:
  • max_tokens फिर देखें: thinking trace और final answer समान output limit share करते हैं, इसलिए limit के निकट tasks को अधिक room चाहिए हो सकता है
  • manual thinking budgets हटाएं: thinking: { "type": "enabled", "budget_tokens": ... } अब Sonnet 5 पर supported नहीं है; इसके बजाय adaptive thinking उपयोग करें
  • non-default sampling parameters सेट न करें: non-default temperature, top_p या top_k, 400 error लौटा सकते हैं
  • tokens फिर गिनें: Sonnet 5 नया tokenizer उपयोग करता है, इसलिए समान text Sonnet 4.6 से अधिक tokens उत्पन्न कर सकता है

Claude Code उपयोग करने पर Claude Code सेटअप गाइड से शुरू करें। अलग providers अलग protocols और model configuration patterns उपयोग करते हैं:
  • Claude group: https://www.bettertoken.ai उपयोग करें
  • GPT group या external tools: https://www.bettertoken.ai/v1 के साथ relevant tool guide देखें
model plaza में current model name उपयोग करें। वहां न दिखने वाला model name hardcode न करें।
long-context coding tasks, automatic fixes, code review या multi-step agent workflows चलाते हों तो पहले claude-sonnet-5 test करें। workload cost-sensitive हो तो switch करने से पहले model plaza pricing से cost estimate करें।
