# Nano Banana Pro, 2, and 2.1 are live on BetterToken

**Nano Banana** is Google's Gemini image generation and editing family. Create images from text, or provide a reference image and refine subjects, colors, and composition through follow-up instructions. **Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2, and Nano Banana 2.1** are now available on BetterToken.

## Choose a model

| Nano Banana 2.1 | `nano-banana-2.1` | New image projects, posters with text, reference-image blending, and multi-turn edits. |

The corresponding Google models are `gemini-3-pro-image`, `gemini-3.1-flash-image`, and `gemini-nano-banana-2.1`. Use the BetterToken Model IDs above in requests.

Start new projects with Nano Banana 2.1, then compare Pro for work requiring finer composition and detail control. For an existing Nano Banana 2 workflow, compare 2.1 using the same prompts.

## Highlights

* **Pro: detailed creative work**. A choice for complex visuals, product details, brand elements, and information layouts.
* **2: frequent production**. Focuses on fast image workflows and editing from reference images.
* **2.1: updated efficient model**. Released by Google on 2026-10-06, with improvements to visual quality, prompt adherence, text, and multi-turn consistency. Google recommends 2.1 for new projects.

BetterToken API does not support search-assisted image generation, including Google Web Search and Image Search grounding. Do not add search tools.
